  9. Great stuff Stephanie. I have a friend with middle age girls I am going to recommend your site to her. Bless you for using your God given talent to bring good reading to young girls.

  10. Visited the interview -- I have a tech background, too. Not many children's writers do!

  11. Thank you, Betty! So funny--when I saw your name on your blog I first thought of Mad Men. I have a feeling you've heard that before, though! I feel very fortunate to be able to write for that age group. Girls are SO sweet at that age! Right before adolescence kicks in...

  12. Yvonne--I started in journalism, which led to public relations, which led to web design (late 90s), which somehow morphed into project management for I.T. Somehow I ended up getting drafted to supervise a help desk, despite the fact I am horrible with computers. Although I now know more than I should...thankfully I'm out of that world now. I was constantly hiding the fact that I had no idea how a computer really works. I could install and troubleshoot software for days, but don't ask me to touch hardware!

  19. That was a cool interview to read to learn more about you! I'm not sure I could go 30 days without gossip; some days less than a minute, LOL. Interesting plot indeed!

  24. Fun interview. Don't know if I've mentioned it to you but I teach middle school. I admire your efforts to capture that socially brutal world.

  27. Been there. Loved the interview. Why not go indie for the ghost tween investigators? Wait, I said that backwards. No, make them ghosts, and then it won't have been done to death, pun intended.
