N is for Nicole Lee

This month I'm participating in the A to Z Challenge. My theme is indulgences. Today's letter is:

N is for Nicole Lee!

I discovered her purses earlier this year, after hearing about Betsey Johnson's bankruptcy. This is the purse I have now:

But she has all kinds of unique purses, including these awesome spring designs.

As well as luggage and makeup cases.

Who is your favorite designer?

  1. I love those purses...and it's time for me to get a new purse.

  2. Fun purses :) I'm a thrift shop/goodwill kind of girl, so I get excited when I find mall brand jeans for $5, lol.

  3. SO FUN! Thank you for introducing me - going web shopping now... :)

  4. A Fun purse to have:) I have to get a new purse but I can't spend a lot on a purse-it's the miser in me. My favourite designer?? Hmmm I love Dior-especially the classic design. I love Bob Mackie-all his Cher outfits and the sparkles-not that I can afford any of these:)

  5. I'm with you, Birgit. I got it on eBay, but I'll admit, I paid more than $20, which was always my limit on purses and shoes. I think it was $50 or so...not too bad. Yeah, on the NicoleLee.com site they're outrageous. eBay is a great place to buy purses...often wholesalers go on there and you get a great discount.

My little secret--I'm sharing with the world!

  6. Designers seem to reflect and mirror who we are in such amazing ways.

  7. I used to love Betsey Johnson, too, but I LOVE the Nicole Lee designs you posted. Time for a new purse, I guess!

  8. Yeah, I'm not so sure about the Betsey Johnson bankruptcy thing. Someone told me she was going out of business, but I think that was just "gossip." And I fell for it! Bankruptcy doesn't mean she's gone. But, still, gotta change it up every now and then. For three years, every purse I had was Betsey Johnson!

  9. Yeah, I don't really have a favorite designer, unless you're talking about the creative arts, and then it'd be impossible to pick just one. ;)

  10. Not sure this is an accessory I'd carry around, unless they have a man purse? Wicked designs, though. :)

  11. Haha, David. I doubt they have men's designs. It's so unfair. Women get to have all the fun!

  14. Those are some interesting accesories. They are really cute, but a bit much for me; I'm a simple person.

  16. A new purse is such a pick-me up!

I don't really have a favorite designer, per se. I did just get a new turquoise purse from Just-Fab and really really love it.

  17. Those purses are really cute!
I like to pick up the imitation designer bags at the flea market. Haven't done so in ages though...

  18. Being a guy who has never followed fashion, I don't, and have never had a favourite designer of anything, except perhaps Ferraris. LOL
In my current thriller, 'Amsterdam Calling', I use the museums and places of interest throughout the story. I have made a point of mentioning the 'Bag and Purse Museum'. I have a feeling that it's a place you'd like to visit. I've been to it and it really is impressive.

  19. Hmmm, Bag and Purse Museum. That definitely sounds interesting!

  20. Sounds a great designer. And the items look great, too!

  21. I don't care much about designers. I seldom look at brands just go by if I see something I like.

  22. So I stopped by only to discover bags! My secret addiction :) And those look so nice and pretty and handy...I mean, you do always need somewhere to put things.

I don't know about a favourite bag designer, I like so many, but fashion wise I love Matthew Williamson, he some how seems to take my soul and turn it into an outfit. :)

  26. Those are so fun! I don't really have a favorite designer, but I did recently buy a bag made by a company in Vermont. I'm a big fan of buying USA-made, so that it was cute, functional, and made 'locally' was a big win for me!

  27. Never heard of these but about to go and check them out. I LOVE purses!!!!

  28. Those purses are WAY cute! Thanks for sharing!

    I can't think of a favorite designer...

  31. Stephanie,

Those purses are nice. I don't own any designer purses now. I usually buy an acceptable one on sale if I can find one I like and don't shop by brand name. I'm pretty picky about the style of a purse. I've made a few of my own in the past because I couldn't find anything I really liked that I could afford.

  34. Classic coach bags from. the 80s.I bought my first one brand spanking new for around $250. I think I'm on my fifth thrifted or eBay. Fits an amazing amount of stuff, nothing really moves around and the side pocket is the perfect size for a Kindle.

  36. Stephanie,

I think your purses are our (Australian) handbags. Language can get confusing! Our purses are smaller and only hold money. Anyway, I don't have a favourite designer, but I have a favourite type of purse or handbag: leather backpack. I love having my hands free!

  37. Lyle Rains and Ed Logg are my favorite designers.

    Oh you meant clothing designers?

Those guys created the old video game Asteroids.

  38. I guess I'm out of the loop when it comes to self indulgences . . . but my kid is having a great time in Australia!
