F is for Freestyle

This month I'm participating in the A to Z Challenge. My theme is indulgences. Today's letter is:

I chose Freestyle.

I'll bet you have no idea where I'm going with this.

When I say "Freestyle," I'm referring to the coolest machine on the planet (aside from iPhones and laptops...)

I actually would choose to dine at one place over another if I knew they had a Coca Cola Freestyle machine.

Pick a cup, pour your ice, then choose from more than 100 drink options. If you select Diet Coke, for instance, you can have Diet Vanilla Coke, Diet Cherry Coke, Diet Cherry Vanilla Coke, Diet Orange Coke, Diet Raspberry Coke, etc.

Don't like soda? That's okay. You can choose from different flavors of water and Minute Maid lemonade. Raspberry lemonade is yummy.

Have you ever tried one of these machines? What did you think?

  1. Wow, that is a cool looking machine and no I haven't seen one (but I don't get out much, LOL). I like all the choices available with it too. I do have to say that I haven't had a soft drink in about a year or so; they are few and far between these days though I did use to like to drink a Diet Coke a day before. It was a nice habit to break (and did save some money)

  2. I usually get diet lemonade on those machines--I love the choices of lemonade flavors, though. Plain Diet Lemonade is kind of boring!

  3. I have never seen these machines so i have never tried one. I would try one if there was juice in them:) Can't have sugar

  4. Yes! These machines are AWESOME! I can't remember where we were when we saw it for the first time, but I do remember my husband coming over to the table with a dazed look on his face and then immediately breaking out into an ecstatic grin. He was so excited to tell me about the amazing drink machine! Lol.

    Great post! :)

  7. I've seen them at Moe's Southwest and Noodle & Company. The Burger King close to us says it has more than 100 soda choices, so I assume they have one, too.

  8. Yes! I live near Disney World, land of hospitality and tourism. We've got these things all over the place, and I think they're way cool. Why did it take so long for them to come out?

  9. How cool would it be to live near Disney World! It's probably tough for traffic, but you have more restaurants than you could ever possibly try!

  10. Whoa!!! I've never seen one of those before! Where are they? Now I'm totally gonna go looking for them...

  11. Liz--I've seen them at Moe's Southwest Grill and Noodle & Company, but our Burger King had an advertisement that it had more than 100 drink choices inside. I haven't been inside a BK in years, so I can't say if they have one, but sounds like they may! I wonder if you can get a Diet Raspberry Lemonade in the drive-thru?

  13. I'll admit, I am a bit of a soda addict. I've never seen one of these machines - but I would love to!

  14. WOW! I want one!!! I've never seen these before - and I'm a HUGE Diet Coke drinker... I'll be on the lookout - but doubt they have any in the hills of East Tennessee....

  16. I've tried this machine and it's absolutely AMAZING. I only tried the cherry coke and the raspberry coke and I love THE RASPBERRY COKE. IT'S AMAZING OMG.

Please visit my blog, http://thatgirlybookworm.blogspot.ca/ my theme is on books and every A-Z day, I choose a book with a title that starts with that letter. :) Thank you!

  17. That is really cool! I didn't even know such a thing existed. I'm guessing they don't have them in Canada yet.

  18. Wow! Sounds like the greatest thing ever! I haven't yet come across this.

  19. Oh my. I've never seen one of these, nor so many diet coke options. If I did happen across one, I'd certainly have to give them all a try, despite the fact that I've otherwise given up diet coke. I miss it sometimes.

  20. You can do various flavored waters or lemonades, as well. I made sure to add that into the blog after my D blog, when I realized there are about 3 adults left in the U.S. who still drink soda. That is my biggest problem, though--I want to try all of them, but I've only seen the machine three or four times...so I've only tried 4 different types of lemonades/diet sodas.

  21. I used to love it when machines had Fanta Orange and Coke and I'd mix it half and half. I picked it up from the family I stayed with during a school trip to Germany. If I ever see one of those machines I'm going to try the diet version!

  22. Donna--One weird thing I always do is mix a little Dr. Pepper in with my Diet Coke when I'm at a soda fountain. It gives it that little bit of sweetness.

  23. I am in love with this machine. Where else can I find Mellow Yellow Peach Zero? I want one for home.

  24. I've never seen this machine before. I now want to find one.

  25. I haven't seen one of those machines before. Maybe they haven't made it to Australia yet. If they haven't, I'm sure they will one day!

  26. I have never actually seen anything like this before! o.o

  27. How did I not know this exists? It's like I'm seeing colour for the first time. Although being from a small town in Canada is unlikely I'll ever seen one of these - maybe in 25 years when there is something out there that uses brainwaves to serve up your beverage of choice. Great post :)

  28. Wow. Nope, we don't have anything like that on Maui. Not that I know of.
